I am a Research Fellow at the Institute of Visual Informatics, The National University of Malaysia. My research interests focus generally on Human Computer Interaction and player experience in digital games, in particular, the immersive experience in gaming. I received my PhD from the University of York (UK). I worked with Dr. Paul Cairns during my PhD. My thesis investigated the effect of immersion on players’ time perception in digital games.
Currently, my research focuses on modelling users’ time perception while engaging with entertainment technologies such as digital games, films, and music. At the same time, I am working on understanding empowerment through engagement in digital games for pediatric cancer patients in Malaysia.
